Hosted at the Glendale Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library in March of 2023, Professor Carl Ipsen discusses his recent sabbatical research on olive oil in the Puglia region of Italy.
Professor Ipsen, a member of the IU Faculty since 1994, is an historian of modern Italy. He is a fellow in the American Academy in Rome and is a founding member of the IU Food Institute.
Dr. Glass has a long career in historic preservation and is a regular columnist for The Indianapolis Star on Indiana history and heritage. He has given countless lectures for a variety of organizations locally, nationally and internationally. Senior Lecturer, Elisa Lucchi-Riester, presents “The Veneto.” A Professor of 18 years in Butler University’s Spanish Department, she speaks four languages, including her native Italian.
