DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. James Glass \nWe are honored to have as our next presenter\, and for the second time\, Dr. James Glass who will be speaking on the subject of Renaissance Architecture. Come and learn during this visually stunning presentation\, how Renaissance architects such as Brunelleschi and others created buildings and monuments that have lasted 500 years and how so much of our American architecture has its roots in Renaissance Italy. \nDr. Glass has a long career in historic preservation and is a regular columnist for The Indianapolis Star on Indiana history and heritage. He has given countless lectures for a variety of organizations locally\, nationally and internationally. He is also working on a book on Indianapolis Architecture. \nNo RSVP Required. \nRefreshments will be served. \nThe event will be videotaped.

DESCRIPTION:Sold Out\nThe Cultural Committee has reserved Wednesday\, August 31st\, (pending the minimum number of reservations being made)\, with the well-known Italian market\, and Society member\, Nicole Taylor Pasta. \nFor those not familiar with Nicole Taylor\, it is owned and operated by Tony and Rosa Hanslits. Chef Tony has a long and renowned culinary career\, including serving as Executive Chef for several exclusive Indianapolis restaurants and as Director of Culinary Education at the Chef’s Academy. He and Rosa\, whose ancestry is from the Reggio-Calabria region of Italy\, make 90% of the products they sell at their market. Fresh pasta\, sauces\, and many Italian specialties are available for pickup\, and lunch is also served in their dining room. \nTheir private dinner series is very popular and booked months in advance\, so we are fortunate to have secured the only remaining date in 2022! \nThe menu is based on the region of Puglia\, which Cultural Committee member\, Susan Lew just returned from visiting. \nHere are the details: \n\nFour Courses with wines selected from the region of Puglia. $60.00 per person.\nMaximum number of attendees is 28.\nLocation in the Monon Shops in South Broadripple\nTo reserve your place\, please RSVP\nFull payment ($60) is required at time of reservation\n\n			\n						RSVP – $60/ticket
