Cooking Class Hosted in January
The Society hopes to plan more classes in 2024, but here is a glimpse of the very successful class that was held in January.
Comments from Attendees
“Thank you for your work in presenting the class. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was casual, good learning, entertaining, and much more. Monica was perfect for this type of class. I would participate in more functions like this one and look forward to more.”
“I had a wonderful time! Monica’s love for cooking and people really came through making it both fun and authentically Italian.
I particularly enjoyed the balance of arriving to some wonderful wine and bread (the perfect appetizer to put a student under the spell that maybe they could also create something good to eat), next watching Monica cook/narrate the do’s and don’ts of the meat filling preparations. Coming full circle back to eating (and at the kitchen counter–always the best place to share food and conversation in any home) really was the perfect ending.
My only suggestion is to schedule another class–I’m in!
Thank you again for putting on the class and paying such great attention to the details.”
“We had such a beautiful evening with the group. A friend asked me what was so nice about it. The first word that popped in my head was romantic. The intimate setting at Nestle Inn works beautifully for this class. I loved how welcoming you were when we entered the kitchen area. It was such a nice touch to offer focaccia with the delicious olive oils along with the Italian wines and waters.
We really liked having our own cooking station yet being so close with everyone too. Chef Monica is a great teacher, very engaging & patient. Since the class is so hands on, you do learn how to make pasta. I could not figure out on my own how to make the egg & flour dough before your class. Thank you.”
“The communal dinner around the table was so intimate. It brought back the feelings of doing so with my family.
I would absolutely take more cooking classes. Thank you for a lovely evening.”
