The Barber of Seville by Giachino Rossini
The Barber of Seville, or the Useless Precaution, is the best-known comedic opera of the Italian repertoire. First performed over 200 years ago in Rome in 1816, it has stood the test of time and has kept audiences enthralled. It is an opera buffa in two acts composed by Giachino Rossini with an Italian libretto by Cesare Sterbini. There is not one dull moment, as Figaro the Barber, Count Almaviva and his love interest, Rosina, conspire, spy, duel, and create hilarious chaos with Rossini’s thrilling music advancing the story. Figaro! Figaro! Figaro! This is not to be missed!! It will be an Italian performance with English subtitles.
