Born in 1897, the daughter of humble immigrants, plain looking Rosa loved to sing while washing dishes. While scratching out a living working in New York City Music Halls, she is discovered by none other than Enrico Caruso. Her rise to fame is legendary. Her personal story is like a movie script.
